Fall is here...it's getting cold and we're getting old (birthday soon).The things that come to mind with the winter chill are comfort,worth, and tradition.
The whack thing about brands is the 'Winter Rush'.It's basically a million sleepers pushing products to market,overselling,under-producing,pimping,gouging, and kind of panicking to get stuff out before Christmas.We've fallen victim to that mindset before and I'll be honest in saying, it sucked.
So this year,with renewed clarity and an enlightened mindset.I've decided to forego the rush and just bring out stuff you guys need and want when it's primed.
What does primed mean to us you say? In a nutshell any piece you see out of HH takes 6-8 months to make from concept to execution.It's all carefully planned from the story,the motivations, music,sketches,..it's a really big production to say the least.
Out of the process you guys get to see maybe 10% of the effort that goes into a product,i.e. what you decide to wear.Our newfound goal is to explore each garment and be more mindful about letting people know about the love and energy that goes into a product so that you can not only feel the difference between HH and anything else on the planet, but know it as well as someone that works here does.That is primed.
Over the coming months there will be a lot of 'priming' and changes in the format and distribution that should work to make ever fan old and new feel that much better about supporting us.
With that said, there is a new addition to the shop in the pullover Self-Sponsored hoodie debuting today in the shop .We opted for a thicker,higher quality cotton, that is more dense and is suitable not only for West Coast weather, but even the biting chill and snowy winters abroad.It's really quite the difference and the thought of it makes me feel warm.
Also there are a ton of other projects in the works that you guys will soon be privy to, just make sure to keep your eyes on the Instagram and subscribe to the mailing list if you haven't already (shame on you!! ).That's the best and fastest way to connect to all things HH before the rest of the world does..and you want to be connected right?
