You guys know by now that I have a "thing" for fighting games.
With my hand being a bit on the mangled side, I don't play as often as I used to... but I like to check in and see what's happening from time to time...
Some new costumes hit for the latest update of Street Fighter, Ultra Street Fighter IV ,and it looks like they went with a Summer theme for the latest costume iteration.
Working around streetwear all day, you can say I'm a bit sensitive to this kind of thing, and to avoid getting in any hot water, I will save the heavy critiques this time around and try to highlight the positives.
It looks like they're trying something different than the usual and are trying to be a bit more creative than before...and....a lot of the stuff looks a lot better in video than it did in stills.
"That's all I got."
Check it out below and also, hope you guys are having a great day.

You guys are hanging in there with the blog eh? Kudos.
I was thinking about how much wonky old stuff influences me (and probably most of you if you're a fan and reading this) in and out of HH.
Something I've never shared up until now is I have a thing for super small pieces of jingles and songs, especailly toy themed ones.To this day, you can hear me spouting pieces of the Ducktales theme song or singing "NERF BOW AND ARROWWWWWWWW" while making coffee to put in my Cocoa Krispies (don't ask).
Because I've always had a knack for this,it's kind of cheap parlor trick to pull out a few jingles on friends and see if they remember them. For some reason I'm the only one that remembers this one.
"Nowwwwww, it's nightttttt...she picks up Kennnnnnnnnnnnnnn..." : the stuff adolescent girls' (and some boys) dreams are made of.Ha!
The first part is kind of whatever, but the final line during the night scene makes this whole blog post all worth it. Seriously.Best work ever.

Around this time a year prior, I took on the task of learning ironwork working from my cousins in the Bay Area.(separate blog post).
Manual labor was difficult, but also rewarding....AND I LEARNED HOW TO USE A NAIL GUN! (also separate blog post WITH PICTURES!!)
During this stint, I ran into Kenny Wilson.
Kenny used to run me up and down each and every work project.I always got paired with him, so I just had to get used to it and learn to 'catch up' as he used to say.
He was tough as nails and would tell me the power of a good work ethic and 'hustling' : to keep on pushing through every project with resilience and ignore lames and adversity because it'd just "slow you down" and ultimately make you miss your mark.
The only time I ever saw Kenny let down his guard and soften up during my whole stay was when he would speak of his daughter, Gabi Wilson.
He and Gabi have been playing together for years and she is on her way to becoming a phenomenal young talent. I heard some of her work early last year and will tell you guys this is just the beginning of what she's about to do for not only music, but the world.
Kenny and I don't talk often since my departure, but when I heard this piece on the radio the other day, I instantly recognized the voice and just was overwhelmed knowing that the hardwork put in is paying off, GABI HAS HER FIRST SINGLE!!! YAYYYYYY!!!
The single is appropriately named 'Something to Prove' and evokes the bass heavy melodies of the early 90's with the R n B soul of previous acts such as The Isley Brothers and even dare I say it, Aaliyah.
Gabi writes her own songs, acts, plays her own instruments and has been working hard since childhood to make this happen... so we are 100% supportive and want to help out.
There's a ton of other stuff I'm probably missing, but you guys can piece it together via articles such as this and following Gabi on her Instagram of @GabiWilsonOfficial for updates on what else is going on in her already large stratosphere.
So, listen to this all the time, call it in on the radio, tell everyone you know about Gabi Wilson. She's ready to do work and we look forward to what the future holds for her.
Good luck.

Something has been on my mind as of late: we don't do enough around here.
Yeah, the blogs are good, and the releases are okay. But the video blogs all but left and so did some of the randomness we put out on social media. It doesn't feel like Hungry Human anymore,at least not to me.
I'll share a bit with you guys,I was trying to see what it was like to be 'corporate' for a bit.
Essentially, when you make money or try to, you become this non-entity...you hire a professional, team,or some subset of weird ambassadors to do your bidding, then hover in the background while they spit whatever propagana you coached and paid them to all the while protecting them from any pitfalls with steady guidance and the power of attorney.
I tried that for a little bit...the slow, quiet, monotonous stuff...and all it really yielded was this air of ,well--- suckiness.
I hate to say it, but Hungry Human wasn't made with profit in mind, it was made with passion, emotion, and hope of improving the quality of product and energy of those around us.
I was so darned worry about who was copying our stuff poorly or pretending to be us on social media one week that I might forget to do something like....be myself..and talk to you guys like we've always been doing.
Basically, the brand started to suck because I was that kid who stopped writing anything on his test papers because all the dumb kids were copying it badly and getting better grades...sounds dumb... but essentially that last sentence is the embodiment of streetwear. Someone copies someone and then someone else responds with something...usually stemming from said copy.
As cruddy as that sounds..people make millions doing it if they do it well and if it looks easy, someone derpier than the last person comes along and takes that old jaloppy of thought and tries to make it work for them.
You get to see a lot of whacky stuff happen from all that I've mentioned and despite some people knowing the struggle, there's probably a ton less that don't know anything.
The thinking originally was the less you knew, the easier it would be to get along with people or keep things manageable. But, it's kind of passed that point and we're at a different place.
I'm not a bad guy I don't think, but it seems like you guys really like hearing the entire story more than just the good sometimes...so, I get it now and will try to oblige with more of EVERYTHING that's going on.
With all that said, sorry for not always sharing 100, but that's tough and this is the internet. You're bearing everything, and hoping for the best... or something close.
Anyways, we'll end this rant with : expect more content, and also: your stuff is on the way.
This is partially in regards to the preorders, but also might be alluding to something else. So, get on the mailing list if you're not already and stay tuned. Thanks for being awesome. Thanks for being real and the support as well! -h_h-
Last time I was trippin' this hard,Morpholio came out... so this might be a good thing for you guys...*hint*

Curbside Jones has been a long time supporter of Hungry Human. His first and favorite shirt is Footsies, but he provided part of the inspiration for a later release you all know of : Doubletap.
During the design process, and early on , I listened to Curbside Jones often for inspiration and after posting it up on the original HH website, we linked up a year later via a Twitter interaction ushered by another fan,Pavo. That's a lot to follow isn't it?!?Funny how all that works.
End of the rant,we are fans of our fans and Jerry is up there with the greats. Check out some of his work below and follow @CurbsideJones on Twitter to keep up with his work.
We support our fans.Even when they're making fake sad faces with a Footsies shirt on.
